Giancarlo Porzio

Qualified lawyer since 1995, Giancarlo specialises in all areas of Maritime Law (litigation and non litigation) including charterparties/bills of lading, salvage, marine insurance, ship sale/purchase, shipbuilding contracts, personal injuries claims, crewmembers' claims, collisions, pollution, as well as in general Commercial and Civil Law also in respect of international trade and transactions (commodities' international contract of sale, enforcement of foreign judgements/arbitration awards).

Giancarlo graduated from Naples University Federico II - Degree in Law (110/110) discussing a thesis in Maritime Law on "Voyage Charterparty - Contractual and statutory discipline".

After a 1 year training period as visiting foreign lawyer at a major City of London Solicitors' firm and at the legal department of a major P&I Club, in 1993 he joined Studio Luigi Porzio, member of Studi Legali Consociati, becoming a partner of the firm in 1995.
